You will work across the stack on web products for a mix of startups and established teams, using Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres and Payload CMS. Most projects run four to six months from kickoff to launch.
You will pair with designers from the first sketch, make architecture calls with the client, and ship in small increments with tests and observability from day one.
We are remote-first and write things down. You will have real ownership, a learning budget and the time to do the work properly.
Requirements
Design interfaces and systems for web and mobile products, working closely with engineers through to launch.
You will lead design on client projects from discovery through to shipped product, producing flows, prototypes and a lightweight design system that engineers can build from directly.
You will work in the browser as much as in your design tool, and care about motion, accessibility and performance as part of the craft rather than an afterthought.
This is a six-month contract with a clear path to a permanent role for the right person.
